Senior Vice President, Data Science Solutions
Around the time Dressler was approaching his 10th year at Experian, the U.S. Department of Justice charged a Vietnamese national with attempting to sell information on hundreds of thousands of U.S. residents that he’d purchased from the company’s subsidiary Court Ventures. Two years later, following Dressler’s promotion as senior vice president of vertical markets, Experian suffered one of the biggest data breaches in U.S. history, an inattention to security that exposed as many as 15 million people who used the company’s services. Yet now, with Dressler as senior vice president for the Ireland-based consumer credit reporting agency’s Data Science Solutions division, the future, after many, many dark clouds, is beginning to look awfully sunny. In July, the company made its first big bet on Southeast Asia and its population of more than 650 million consumers by leading a $28 million funding round for C88 Financial Technologies, a Singapore-based fintech company. Such new eastbound inroads could open the company up to new markets and unimaginable wealth — or expose it to more cybersecurity threats. The future is an open book!
