Regardless, media hits like those have helped transform CareerBuilder from an online recruitment agency to a software-as-a-service leader. Previously a chief sales officer with the Chicago-based company and later the president of onboarding Software Solutions, Delaney now oversees CareerBuilder’s business Employment Screening, spearheading growth in the unit through the sale of its cloud-based software-as-a-service platform, CareerBuilder1, an HR offering that has benefited from a market that’s grown 2.1 percent annually, to $5.58 billion in 2017, according to an analysis by HTF Market Intelligence Consulting. “We’re the first company to bring advertising, data analytics and HR into one platform,” Delaney told eWEEK, the IT creative services magazine. “The whole point is to make it easier and most cost-effective for our clients to bring more quality talent onboard.” And, for the record, the top profession that doesn’t require a degree is electrician, and at 45 percent, the percentage of employees who think they’re getting fat on the job is way too high.
