President, Global Sales
Schara earned his stripes over the course of five years as a sales executive with the startup Coyote Logistics. When United Parcel Service, popularly known as UPS, acquired the company in 2015 for a whopping $1.8 billion, Schara joined the big leagues practically overnight. Leading up to that blockbuster deal, however, the supply chain expert played a role in carving out a niche for Coyote, an early innovator cited for creating the freight brokerage model, which pairs retailers and other shippers with truckers. “We will continue to do what we have been doing, but now we will have the resources of the one of the largest logistics companies on the planet,” Coyote founder Jeff Silver told the Wall Street Journal shortly after the deal was announced. For Schara, that means he’ll continue doing what he does best: the supply chain.
