VP, Architectural Coatings, U.S. & Canada
PPG was founded in the late 1800s as the Pittsburgh Plate Glass company, but today it’s best known for being a chemicals manufacturer — a world-leading supplier of paints, coatings, optical products, and specialty materials. It operates in dozens of countries and had net sales of $15.4 billion recently, and it’s up to Irick as vice president of the architectural coatings business unit to make sure the company remains an industry authority and client favorite in the U.S. and Canada. PPG trusted Irick, a graduate of West Point and former second lieutenant in the U.S. Army, to fill the shoes of a longtime employee, who was retiring, when they hired him in early 2019. Irick had a long track record at GE, where he moved through various divisions and roles over more than a decade.
