EVP, Worldwide Field Operations

NVIDIA has had a banner decade as more and more high-tech industries — from video games to driverless cars — embrace its industry-leading graphics processing units (GPUs) and other computer chips. Puri has been there through it all and then some, having joined the company in December 2005 after more than two decades at Sun Microsystems. He understands NVIDIA’s core technology extremely well and is able to articulate just what the company provides for its customers, how it does it, and why the output is worth the cost. As he says, “Many of the problems that computing wasn’t able to solve before, which were to do with pattern recognition rather than computing-based algorithms, are now applicable to just about everything.”
