Selling cereal and other iconic food products may sound like a sweet gig, but Shawn O’Grady has his work cut out for him. There are arguably few people in the world who know the product better than O’Grady, who’s been with General Mills for going on 30 years in various capacities, beginning in the 1990s as a brand manager for the consumer side of the business. Now as a group president, he presides over the sales organization for the entire U.S. and the company’s food service business. He’s not afraid to embrace new technologies, telling inquisitive investors back in 2015, “E-commerce is the fastest-growing food channel and our customers are testing a wide range of business and distribution models.”
