York is a 30-year sales industry veteran who currently leads sales at cloud-based human capital management software company Paycom. He has spoken about the importance of persuasion and sales skills regardless of your field. “Professional selling is really nothing more than finding out what people want and need and helping them get it,” he said in an interview with Texas Christian University’s Neeley School of Business. “That’s going to be critical in every single career that anybody’s going to choose.” Under his leadership, Paycom earned’s Leadership Excellence Award and Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work Employees’ Choice Award, as well as a spot on Fortune’s 100 fastest-growing companies from 2017 to 2019. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization has helped their clients navigate complicated government guidances, including the CARES Act and Families First Coronavirus Response Act. York is committed to helping others outside of the office, too. He sits on the board of directors at the Sammons Cancer Center and is a mentor with the Baylor Scott & White Dallas Foundation.
