What We're Looking For

The Modern Sale captures all the important news surrounding the sales industry and emerging technology. Content should reflect an innovative mindset and represent The Modern Sale’s market position as a thought leader with respect to all things related to revenue. 

We’re interested in analysis of cutting edge sales technologies, deep dives into pressing challenges (and solutions) as well as emerging trends related to the future of sales. Some examples of areas that are of current interest include dark social and the agile sales methodology, profiles of specific leaders who are shaping modern leadership, innovative ways of approaching revenue management, AI’s application to sales technology as well as other insights about how executives should be thinking about adapting and transforming their sales organizations.

Our Style and Tone

The Modern Sale uses the third person and addresses readers in a professional and informative tone. Our style is direct, inquisitive, and business-like. 

The style of writing should reflect an innovative mindset and meet quality standards that reflect The Modern Sale’s position as a thought leader in the sales industry. Submissions will be reviewed for quality (of both writing and information), value to our audience and should be free from shameless self-promotion and/or plugs. Ideas contained within a proposed article should be provocative and thoughtful. Profiles on pillars of the industry should include insights that leaders can take back to their organizations. Opinion pieces should be clearly identified as such.

  • A brief explanation of how your perspective is innovating the industry

  • Articles must be at least 1,000-2,000 words in length.

  • Please include 1-2 title suggestions.

  • Please include 1-2 Click to Tweet sentences.

  • Please include a headshot, your title and company. All headshots should be at least 900x1200 pixels.
